Go-To-Market Specialist for a leading shoe manufacturer

Do you have extensive knowledge of developing Go-To-Market strategies and have profound stakeholder management skills? Then join one of Denmark’s largest shoe manufacturers and retailers in their European division.

The position
As a Go-To-Market Specialist your main responsibility of the position is to ensure effective Marketing activity coordination and 360 Go-To-Market planning and execution of the overall campaign and communication goals.

The center of attention is directed towards aligning campaign planning and coordination across all channels and touchpoints, such as but not exclusive to Window campaigns, Instore Communication, Promotions in Retail, WHS and e-Com, as well as all paid media and other brand activation channels. This role will plan, manage, and execute the overall marketing strategy and Go-To-Market plans yearly and seasonally together with specialist activation teams.

It is expected that the GTM Specialist can make clear debriefs to the Brand Management team to ensure optimal assets for the company; both to promote brand awareness but also ensuring a tactical focus to facilitate sales at the actual selling points. The latter will also be developed internally in close cooperation with the company’s inhouse Marketing Activation Team and potential external agencies.

Internally this role will be the main responsible for facilitating effective campaign execution through strong planning and communication. It is therefore crucial that this person takes the lead to ensure clear Marketing Go-To-Market briefs based on the overall GTM brief provided by Sales and that this is communicated clearly to the owners of the different marketing touch points, such as but not exclusive to Retail/POS Marketing Activities, E-Mail-Marketing, Landing Pages, etc. and that the assets are developed in close cooperation with these owners.

Furthermore, the areas of responsibility will touch upon:

  • Development and updating the yearly Commercial Calendar and seasonal marketing plans
  • Daily and seasonal operational responsible of campaign planning and execution
  • Alignment with the company's global Commercial Calendar marketing plans
  • Partly operational responsible for the Marketing budget related to execution and support in monitoring and controlling the local market budgets, in specific the brand allocation budgets
  • Monthly cost-control of central marketing budgets (Brand Building, Cost of Sales, Global Blue)
  • Main daily and seasonal contact person to the Global Brand Management team and activation specialists in the region
  • Develop good communication with Regional Marketing Managers to keep the shops and markets updated on best practice sharing
  • Planning and execution of the seasonal Consumer Engagement Summit (CES), presenting and facilitating the Regional briefs for the upcoming season
  • Project Management for specific Marketing projects in the Marketing area
  • On-time and in-full delivery of seasonal campaign planning
  • Marketing Budget control and achievement (esp. Cost of Sales, Global Blue)
  • Campaign Reporting


Your profile
To succeed in this role, you hold a degree within Marketing, Sales, E-Commerce, Business development, or a related field with a B2C focus. You have been in a similar position for a minimum of 3-5 years in a large B2C company with a wide experience from a multi-market setup. Regional and/or global previous exposure is mandatory.

It is expected that you have a tactical understanding and are familiar with working with multiple touch points, having been responsible for planning and managing marketing budgets previously with a ROI approach.

Being a team player and a good motivator is a must together with strong communication skills and the ability to get your message clearly across. Therefore, your personality should be positive and open-minded with a “can-do” attitude where you possess empathic capabilities and have a healthy view and understanding of other people’s points of view. Lastly, you possess a high English level both orally and in writing.

The position is placed in the company’s HQ in Zug, Switzerland. Although remote work is allowed, you can expect to travel within Europe up to 10% of your time. The position is a full-time freelance employment and start is as soon as possible. The duration of the position is set to six months; however, extending the timeframe is very likely.
