Global Digital Marketing Data & Analytics Lead

Are you a senior digital analytics professional with the strategic mindset to shape global marketing performance and the hands-on capability to turn data into action? Syngenta is looking for a Senior Global Digital Marketing Data & Analytics Lead to join its Global Digital Marketing team and play a key role in strengthening data-informed decision-making across more than 20 countries.

The team

The Global Digital Marketing team consists of around 25 specialists across digital marketing and branding, most of whom work remotely. The team collaborates closely across markets and functions, with regular SCRUM ceremonies and status meetings supporting alignment, execution, and knowledge-sharing across geographies.

The position

In this senior role, you will lead the global digital marketing data and analytics agenda, ensuring that analytics capabilities support both strategic priorities and day-to-day business decisions. You will define and drive the analytics roadmap, lead complex cross-market initiatives, and work closely with business stakeholders, technical specialists, and leadership teams to improve performance, governance, and adoption.

Your responsibilities will span strategy, implementation, optimization, and stakeholder management. You will shape measurement frameworks for digital campaigns and web properties, oversee advanced tracking setups and privacy-compliant analytics solutions, and lead the development of dashboards, reporting, and actionable insights that can be scaled across markets. You will also play a central role in platform standardization, attribution, server-side tagging, and the continued development of the broader analytics ecosystem, including integrations with Salesforce Marketing Cloud and related data platforms.

In addition, you will act as a senior sparring partner to both technical and commercial stakeholders. This includes building business cases for analytics investments, prioritizing high-impact use cases, supporting change management across markets with different levels of data maturity, and presenting recommendations to senior leadership. The role also includes indirect people leadership, with responsibility for supporting and developing a distributed analytics set-up and helping build capabilities, frameworks, and best practices across the organization.

The role requires someone who can combine strategic leadership with operational credibility. You should be comfortable navigating complex global environments, managing multiple workstreams at once, and driving initiatives from roadmap to execution. A strong understanding of digital marketing performance, analytics architecture, and stakeholder engagement is essential, as is the ability to communicate clearly and persuasively across all levels of the business.

Your profile

To succeed in this position, you bring extensive experience within digital marketing data and analytics, including several years in a senior or lead capacity. You have a proven track record of leading complex analytics initiatives in international organizations and of translating data into clear business recommendations that improve marketing effectiveness. You are experienced in working across time zones, influencing stakeholders without direct authority, and balancing long-term strategic thinking with a hands-on approach to delivery.

You are highly proficient in tools and platforms such as Qlik Sense or QlikView, Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, server-side tagging solutions, consent management frameworks, and the Salesforce Marketing Cloud ecosystem. Experience with digital media channels including paid social, Google Ads, display, and programmatic is important, and familiarity with data warehouses and analytics platforms such as BigQuery, Amazon Redshift, or Datorama is highly relevant. Exposure to predictive analytics, AI-enabled use cases, or programming languages such as Python or R will be considered an advantage.

As a person, you are analytical, structured, and commercially minded. You are comfortable operating in fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous environments, and you know how to create clarity, alignment, and momentum across diverse stakeholder groups. You are an effective communicator in English, both written and spoken, and you are confident presenting insights and recommendations to senior decision-makers.

Preferably, you hold a bachelor’s degree in marketing, data science, or a related field. A master’s degree is an advantage.
